Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Homecierge ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including homeowners and service professionals.
Platform Description
Homecierge is a marketplace that connects homeowners with independent home service professionals. We facilitate connections and transactions but do not directly employ service professionals or guarantee the outcome of any service.
User Accounts
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
Service Requests & Bookings
- Homeowners may post service requests describing the work needed
- Service professionals may submit quotes in response to requests
- A binding booking is created when a homeowner accepts a quote and a deposit is processed
- Both parties agree to honor confirmed bookings except in cases of emergency
Payments & Fees
All payments are processed through our secure platform. Homecierge charges a service fee on completed transactions. A deposit may be required at booking. Homeowners agree to pay the agreed service price upon satisfactory completion of work.
Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Provide false or misleading information
- Circumvent the Platform by transacting directly with professionals introduced through Homecierge
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
- Attempt to scrape, hack, or disrupt the Platform
Limitation of Liability
Homecierge is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services performed by independent professionals on our platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount paid in the transaction giving rise to the claim.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute between a homeowner and a service professional, Homecierge may assist in mediation but is not obligated to resolve disputes. We reserve the right to suspend accounts involved in repeated disputes.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any legal disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.
