1. Who We Are

Homecierge, Inc. ('Homecierge', 'we', 'us') operates a two-sided home services marketplace connecting homeowners and renters with vetted pros in Dallas-Fort Worth. This policy explains how we handle your information.

2. What We Collect

Account info: name, email, phone number, and address (homeowners) or business address and license info (pros).

Service data: job descriptions, photos, and messages between you and pros.

Payment info: processed by Stripe. We store only the last 4 digits and card type — never your full card number.

Usage data: pages visited, features used, device type, and IP address.

Location: approximate location with your permission, to match you with nearby pros.

3. How We Use It

To run the marketplace: match homeowners with pros, process payments, and handle bookings.

To vet pros: background checks via Checkr, license verification via TDLR and TSBPE.

To communicate with you: job updates, offer alerts, booking confirmations. You can opt out of marketing emails anytime.

To improve the platform: fix bugs and build new features.

To meet legal obligations: fraud prevention, tax reporting, responding to legal requests.

4. Who We Share It With

Pros: when you post a job, your first name, neighborhood, and job details are visible to pros in our network. Your full address is only shared after you book.

Homeowners: a pro's name, license status, ratings, and reviews are visible. Their personal address is never shared.

Service providers: Stripe (payments), Checkr (background checks), Firebase/Google (infrastructure). They're contractually barred from using your data for their own purposes.

We don't sell your personal information. Ever.

5. How Long We Keep It

We keep your data as long as your account is active. You can request deletion anytime at legal@homeciergeapp.com. We keep transaction records for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance.

6. Your Rights

You can access, correct, or delete your personal information.

You can request a copy of everything we have on you.

You can opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any email.

Texas residents may have additional rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA).

7. Security

We use TLS/HTTPS for data in transit and Firebase security rules for data at rest. Payments go through Stripe (PCI DSS Level 1). No system is bulletproof — if you think your account's been compromised, contact us immediately.

8. Children's Privacy

Homecierge isn't for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you think a minor has given us their info, let us know and we'll delete it.

9. Changes

We'll notify you of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect.
